Ron Morin

Ron has been working in Central America for more than 25 years. He started with a Pastor’s Prayer Network in the 1980′s which led him to overseas mission work. During that time he also found himself in the midst of a large shoebox ministry. He facilitated the donation of many bibles and toys which were placed into shoe boxes and delivered to Central America. The shoebox ministry continues today and is much larger than Ron could have ever imagined. Following God’s call Ron then found himself transporting as many donations and bibles as he could to orphanages in Central America. He soon felt called to minister to the Guatemalan people and began replacing dilapidated mobile homes with block homes at the Casa Bernebe Orphange in Guatemala City. More than 10 years ago he felt God’s call again and he planted the Manos de Jesus ministry here in Chichicastenango. His love for the Guatemalan people is evident as he walks the streets of Chichi handing out tickets for new shoes from our Shoe Factory here at Monte Flor. His heart for the people can also be seen as he seems to continually hire Guatemalans into the ministry; and somehow payroll is met each month.
